Getting a hip replacement used to mean having a large incision that cut through muscles and ligaments and recovering in the hospital for several weeks before walking. Now, at Beijing United Family Hospital, patients can get minimally invasive hip replacements using the SuperPATH technique. By performing the surgery through a small incision, surgeons can ensure a faster recovery. With the SuperPATH technique, many patients are able to stand up and move around a mere two hours after surgery.
